DJ Blingg interviewed with BlastFM Blogs recently and was asked who in the music industry he thought was inspiring and could break down barriers for the new hip-hop & RnB generation.
"It's hard to tell right now. I tune into the radio every now and again and it's the same sad story. I don't know where the hip-hop game is at right now, so I'm a little on the downbeat with that conversation but I would love to hear more original sound for a change".
Far as R&B music is concerned, I think it sounds a lot like hip-hop-rap, and some of it, I'm just lost with the tempo. He also ended that remark by saying, some of the singers he thought were starting to sound like Jamal Lyon from Empire who I'm not so much a fan of.
I do know that times are definitely changing, and when change is present it affects the sound wave as well as everything else, I do know, I don't want to see or hear any more stereotypes, but I do want to see more passion, creativity and just a little bite more extra push from all artists as far as music is concerned.
IF YOU HAD TO PICK ANY ARTIST, WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HAVE THEIR MOMENT,
"It would probably be the homie Jamie Foxx, I think multi-talented people don't get enough credit where its do.
Some people may look at him as a comedian, some may even see him as an actor, But others know him as a musician.
In my book, he's already broken barriers as well as earned my respect, no cap.''
