Tha Carter V is the upcoming twelfth studio album by American rapper Lil Wayne. The album has experienced many delays because of various disputes between Lil Wayne and his former label, Cash Money Records, which made its release uncertain.
Seven years after Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne is set to release the long-awaited follow-up on Sept. 21, according to the official Young Money Twitter account. They also revealed the cover art, which features a hand holding up five fingers.

“Tha Carter V” has been ditch for release since as early as 2013. For a while it was looking like we would never hear "Tha Carter V" until Birdman broke the news in a interview with Beat 1 Radio saying, "The situation with me and my son … I’mma put all that behind us and just let it move forward.
