Rapper DMX has died at the age of 50 after suffering from a drug overdose and heart attack in which he was hospitalized in White Plains, New York late Friday, April 2, 2021. He died days later after being taken off life support.
Earl Simmons was an American rapper, songwriter, and actor, known by his stage name DMX born on December 18, 1970, in Mount Vernon, New York.
DMX began his rap career in the early 1990s. In May 1998, DMX’s debut album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, was released by Def Jam/Ruff Ryders and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The album featured the hit single, “Ruff Ryders Anthem.”

DMX LEAVING BEHIND A LEGACY
DMX leaves behind a legacy of records adding to his catalogue of classics, its said the artist will have a posthumous album release; the project was reportedly fully completed before his untimely death, by far being described as one of his “best work” to date.
DMX revealed that this new project would have more features than he’s ever done in any of his past projects; just to name a few names appearing in the album include: Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Usher, and even mentioning a collab with NY's early-passing Pop Smoke.
