ARE YOU DRIVING THE NEW SELF DRIVING CARS

Self-driving cars have transitioned from a futuristic concept to a tangible reality, revolutionizing the automotive industry and redefining the future of transportation. With advancements in artificial intelligence, sensor technology, and machine learning, autonomous vehicles have emerged as a transformative force, offering the promise of safer, more efficient, and convenient travel. As major companies and innovators continue to invest in and refine this cutting-edge technology, self-driving cars are poised to fundamentally reshape the way we commute, ushering in an era where vehicles can navigate roads autonomously, marking a significant leap forward in the evolution of transportation.

LANSING, Michigan would no longer require humans to be needed inside a self-driving car while testing it on public roads under bills up for a vote in the Legislature.

A researcher wouldn't have to be present in a self-driving test car, but he or she would be required to "promptly" take control of its movements if necessary.

The change is expected to win Senate approval Wednesday, it's said that it is likely to reach Gov. Rick Snyder's desk within months.
