Netflix celebrated Valentine’s Day with Chris Rock: Tamborine, his first stand-up special in a decade started streaming on Netflix on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The surprise announcement follows a mysterious ad campaign in which the streaming giant teased an unnamed upcoming project with images of a Tamborine accompanied by the tagline “Will you play?” in videos and on billboards.

The last time Chris Rock released a special, Barack Obama was vying for the White House, the comic was married and HBO was still the preeminent platform for an hour of stand-up. So, yeah, it has been a while. Netflix on Wednesday released Rock's new stand-up special, “Tamborine,”
